Clear Creek School District has accepted applications for an Interim Superintendent for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Clear Creek School District RE-1, Idaho Springs, Colorado, Board of Education, is seeking a highly qualified Interim Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position September 18, 2023.
McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, in association with the Colorado Association of School Boards, has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the Board of Education in identifying and screening the candidates.
Enrollment: 682 students
Location: 33 miles west of Denver
The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The board recognizes the importance of selecting an interim superintendent with both classroom and administrative leadership experience. Applicants for the position should possess a comprehensive understanding and practical experience in complying with the legal obligations regarding meetings and records specific to the state of Colorado. The board of Education seeks the following qualities in their interim superintendent:
Leader – A humble person driven by ethical standards. A strong innovative collaborator who develops employee leaders and implements a positive learning culture in a system of excellence. A leader devoted to growing individuals through coaching.
Visionary – An individual who builds excellence through research and demonstrates the ability to drive innovation from the classroom to the school board, to the building, and to the overall community.
Communicator – A strong communicator who is transparent and trustworthy. A leader who has the skills to use technology and social media in their communication with staff, parents, students and community.
Visible – An individual who would become involved in the community and be known by the classroom teachers, parents and the greater community.
Accountable – An individual with financial acumen. A person who leads and manages using proved processes and procedures from the board room to the classroom rooted in common sense. An education leader who will both empower staff and hold them accountable. A person with experience managing multiple bond and capital improvement projects. A leader who gets results.
Compensation - $150,000 - $165,000 plus benefits
