Although our main focus of effort this year concentrates on developing and aligning our curriculum and institutionalizing a standards-based teaching and leadership framework, we continue to make progress on other initiatives as well. One very timely example is our K-12 College and Workforce Readiness initiative that supports our strategies found in our Master Education Plan.
This is the time of year when parents and students apply to colleges and universities as well as pursue scholarships and financial assistance. Our counselors have been researching entry requirements for our nations best education institutions and are prepared to guide you through the application and financial assistance process. However, this process and information is not for the parents of our seniors alone. Starting at the elementary level, parents should start seeking information on college admission requirements and establishing high expectations for their children. Our counseling center can assist parents of children of any age in preparing their students for successful college and workforce options.
A long line of Clear Creek School District students have attended top ranking education institutions and we believe all of our students can continue this tradition. We contend that we can influence the belief systems of our students and parents early in their education so that they see top universities and high-quality workforce placement as a realistic and viable option. We ask that you work with us as early as possible to create a plan of higher education for your child, remain focused on helping your child achieve that goal with our assistance and encourage your child to seek the best colleges and universities.
