BELIEVE-ACHIEVE-SUCCEED!

 

Our vision is to be recognized as a center of educational excellence that strives to develop citizens whose belief systems drive their achievement and success in life.  Our long term goals follow our fundamental philosophy of building a belief system that encourages our students to live lives with the freedom of choice based on a strong academic and character education foundation. We capture our philosophy in the simple credo: BELIEVE-ACHIEVE-SUCCEED

 

1. BELIEVE: Build a culture of character and high expectations that drives achievement and enhances education

2. ACHIEVE: 

a. Top 90th percentile of schools in Colorado

b. 100% participation in activities (sports, arts, extra-curricular)

3.  SUCCEED: Graduates lead productive lives of quality after pursuing higher education or entering the workforce.

 

Towards the end of this month, we will proudly present our CCSD Master Education Plan (MEP).  This plan defines the path we will take to realize our vision and goals as well as respond to the specific findings of our CADI.  The complete CADI report is located on the district website under the Parent Resources tab. Parents will be notified when the Master Education Plan has been posted on our website. 

 

In May, the Board of Education  will hold another round of community meetings at each school to discuss our plan and the overall direction of our district.  We invite you to participate in a meeting of your choice on the following dates: 

Thursday, May 2 CCMS/CCHS

Monday, May 6 Georgetown Community School

Tuesday, May 7 Carlson Elementary School

Thursday, May 9: King-Murphy Elementary School

Ms. Haich also serves on Gifted Education Advisory Committee and is a member of the National Association for Gifted Children and the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented.
